Multiple exposure of figure-study style photographs and the Latin alphabet to Morse code mapping, rendered encrypted via Artificial Intelligence mediated 'Deep Style Transfer'. It turns out Morse code was invented by a painter. You can tell if you think about it. He invented it after the tedious speed of telegrams meant he missed the passing away of his wife. He went on to co-invent the telegraph and design the code the encode letters into electric pulses. Such an evocative story with profound themes. X, Y, Z are just visible amid the figure that is both crouching and dancing. Tragedy and transcendence. Printed semi-transparent on 3mm Brushed Silver finish aluminium composite panel. The frame is a 2 cm face, 3 cm depth light synthetic frame intended as potentially only temporary for exhibition and transportation. This work formed part of the Urban Skins duo exhibition with Abstract painter Eric Duplan at Gallery2, Johannesburg.
