About The Artwork

This series of books is a continuation of my research on the impossible interlocutors, is mainly based on the observation of a world that is virtually connected more than ever but begins to lack of real communication, relationships between people are forged through technology rather than through physical meetings. Books have been the instruments of communication and guardians of knowledge and ideas, they are now replaced by digital texts that do not occupy any space, they are no longer objects to perceive with eyes, touch and smell. Books are becoming virtual codes unscented and shapeless, phantoms objects that have no physical space. It is interesting to notice that the brain areas that are activated while reading a physical book and reading a digital one are not the same, the result is that the memory is used otherwise, there is less retention of information acquired through a digital, this make me wonder what is going to happen to our memories. My impossible books become sculptural objects impossible to read by turning them into works of art they may be able to survive their implacable destiny. This is a tribute to the guardians of our history in danger of extinction.
