About The Artwork
The title - "In The Living Years" - was inspired by the Mike + the Mechanics song of the same name. I inserted my grandfather and uncle (his eldest living son) in Édouard Manet's "The House at Rueil". If you pay attention to their body language you'll understand why the titular song (Mike + the Mechanics' "In the Living Years") is so pertinent to their relationship.
