About The Artwork
This series is about balance and juxtaposition of opposing elements in which I revisit the seventies when I studied communications design at Pratt Institute. It represents the process of breaking down a concept into simplified graphic visual terms as in creating logos and symbols having to do with branding. Saturated and opposing colors impart an electrical vibration in this series concerning the interchange of two forms. The (left and right poles) are separate yet connected by a “bridge” conjoining the two “sides” which could be interpreted as the communication within the brain of an individual from left to right hemisphere or the communication between to disconnected sectors.
