About The Artwork

The National Theatre on London's South Bank is one of my favourite artistic muses. Every time I visit I notice new angles and shapes. The simple Brutalist block shapes lend themselves to my style of art. This is one of my favourite angles – it almost seems to be 3-D here. The piece is created from an original photograph digitally coloured and printed directly onto a small piece of brushed aluminium. The metal brings out the vivid pink colour of the sky contrasting it beautifully with the building’s stark grey concrete. The aluminium piece is floated in a hand-painted wooden frame. Little London, National Theatre is available with a pink yellow, or teal sky. An edition is also available with the individual blocks filled with bright colours. This piece is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 3 weeks.

I AM... a digital artist specialising in city-based art. MY WORK... is created by digitally manipulating and colouring my own photographs to produce pieces on usual materials including aluminium, copper, neon, reclaimed wood, mirrors, magnets, vintage windows, and even a 1950's London telephone box. My latest piece features a real running river, complete with whale and shopping trolley floating by. I’m always on the lookout for unusual views and angles for my work. Much of it is created from aerial photographs, taken while hanging out of helicopters. MY LATEST COLLECTION... celebrates the beauty of the city through the shapes, outlines and colours that define its character. London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Paris, Singapore, Miami, and Dubai all feature. TV STUDIO TO ART STUDIO... Before becoming an artist I spent twenty years working in television. I now work out of my studio at Wimbledon Art Studios, a wonderful creative community in London. RECENT EXHIBITIONS... include The Affordable Art Fair (London, Singapore, New York, Milan), The Other Art Fair (London, New York, Los Angeles), and the charity exhibition Art For Youth at the Mall Galleries. DURING LOCKDOWN... I’ve took part in numerous online shows including ‘A River Runs Through It’ in a virtual Oxo Gallery. I was a founder member of The V-Art Show, an innovative Show live on Zoom. POST LOCKDOWN ARRTI Gallery, my London collective, converted an empty shop into a sparkling new gallery a South London shopping centre. The gallery attracted 18,000 visitors over 9 months. COMING UP... I will be exhibiting in The Other Art Fair in London in March, and Los Angeles in April.
