Art Description

New Media: Digital on Other.

Old electronics have always fascinated me, from NASA's massive components used to track Apollo missions, to the military uses of similarly complex devices. I've been photographing these kinds of components for the past few years, in vintage shops around the Dallas area. Once I had enough images, I began combining them into one large piece, creating the mother of all electronic devices.

I envision this ridiculously complex device as being used to either save the world, or end it. This is exactly where I find mankind in our present time–on a precipice that can easily sway in either direction. It is ultimately at the user's discretion.
