About The Artwork

A beast of smoke, steam, and iron emerges from the mists and blowing snow of winter somewhere in the Rocky Mountains in the American West. Unlike the inhabitants of that wild west wilderness, this is a thing made by man: a train pulled by a massive locomotive that cuts through the fog. Chugging along the rails, the sound of the steam engine's whistle cuts through the cold air. Its light is a burning beacon in the otherwise cold and white snowy landscape. This is my first image to feature a train. Normally, my subjects are much more organic, but I've been working on a scene that pairs a buffalo with a train and decided to do a train by itself first just to see how it turned out. I rather like the way the light of the train creates a focal point in the image. Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I want my art to be the doorway to ones imagination, a spark that leads to daydreams of journeys into history, fantasy worlds, and even the occassional dark lands of horror. Hence, I refer to my art as work as "Adventurous Art". Growing up in the foothills of the Appalachians, I've spent a great deal of time outdoors hiking, fishing and camping in the forests of north Georgia. Consequently, nature and organic forms play a big role in my images. I like to portray animals and creatures, but I’ll depict the occasional person as well; and almost always set in a natural environment. My art has been featured in the pages of Wild West, natural history, and horror magazines. I've had illustrations appear on everything from the covers of fantasy novels to the science sections of newspapers. A few of my works have even found their way into museums of science and history. So, welcome...and sit back and enjoy the adventure.
