About The Artwork

Oxford Street from above created from an original photograph taken while dangling out of a helicopter. This piece encapsulates two of my favourite things about London - the patterns hidden within, and iconic objects. Printing the image on brushed aluminum gives the piece an etched effect, highlighting the distinct patterns of the streets spreading out from Oxford Circus. The metallic finish contrasts with the bright red London buses and black cabs peppered throughout. And the thousands of people, looking like tiny ants, are represented by dabs of strong colours. The piece illustrates London at its vibrant bustling best. Please note: this piece is made to order. It can usually be made in around 10-14 days.

I AM... a digital artist specialising in city-based art. MY WORK... is created by digitally manipulating and colouring my own photographs to produce pieces on usual materials including aluminium, copper, neon, reclaimed wood, mirrors, magnets, vintage windows, and even a 1950's London telephone box. My latest piece features a real running river, complete with whale and shopping trolley floating by. I’m always on the lookout for unusual views and angles for my work. Much of it is created from aerial photographs, taken while hanging out of helicopters. MY LATEST COLLECTION... celebrates the beauty of the city through the shapes, outlines and colours that define its character. London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Paris, Singapore, Miami, and Dubai all feature. TV STUDIO TO ART STUDIO... Before becoming an artist I spent twenty years working in television. I now work out of my studio at Wimbledon Art Studios, a wonderful creative community in London. RECENT EXHIBITIONS... include The Affordable Art Fair (London, Singapore, New York, Milan), The Other Art Fair (London, New York, Los Angeles), and the charity exhibition Art For Youth at the Mall Galleries. DURING LOCKDOWN... I’ve taken part in numerous online shows including ‘A River Runs Through It’ in a virtual Oxo Gallery. I was a founder member of The V-Art Show, an innovative Show live on Zoom. COMING UP... I will be exhibiting in The Other Art Fair’s Virtual editions in March and June.
