Art Description

New Media: Digital on Canvas and Paper.

This SXSW 2017 panel was beautifully balanced and I think I captured the balance in my iPad drawings.

In an age of unprecedented volumes of imagery, photographers focused on social issues are still essential in impacting cultural awareness. Exemplary conceptual, technical, and diverse approaches stand out from the photostream and continue to inspire new audiences to stay emotionally and financially connected to the ideas of social good. These three panelists span race, gender, geographical location, and represent divergent topics and approaches. Michelle Dunn Marsh, moderator, adds information on the importance of visibility for cause-related projects, and the significance of support given through the for- and non-profit environments.
