Born in France, JHWoodman studied in France and at UCLA "Art in the 21st Century". Invisible Tunnels is an ongoing project since 2010. This is a series of digital collages containing random images of streets around the world. The found images are processed with digital manipulations until the links between two places become visible. This series can be seen as a form of digital weaving as well as an act recognizing the interconnections between all things. Our perception of aesthetics can help us materialize the invisible. INVISIBLE TUNNELS We are constantly walking on soil that is in constant transformation. Marks, breaks, cracks, ornamentations, nature which tends to take back its rights... the indices of the passage of time, of men, of the erosion and of external actions are innumerable. These traces of life mémorielles all around populate our field of vision and seem to communicate easily from one space à the other, from one street à another, from one country to the other. The links that connect these places, these materials under our feet often remain invisible at first glance. During my impromptu passages here and there, I link... I weave and I gather what makes life under my feet. Which carries me and allows me to be in this world. When two places call each other I bring them together and merge them in order to materialize this silent claim.
