Ed. 1+AP This piece was inspired by beauty that is often dismissed in the world, emotion, and sense "eery". This world often has a negative connotation, but really I find it to be a world that inspires me in my art. Deeper hues and scenes that transport you immediately. When it is on the wall, it is almost like you are standing on the edge of this cliff, with this frighteningly endless ocean in front of you, and the red poppy bringing you back into a sense of alarming and sudden calm. This digitally manipulated art work is 30" x 80" , High quality real photo of the original art face mounted to 1/8" Plexiglass and then a aluminum backing is attached to the back (for strength and appearance). Then a metal sub frame is attached to the back for easy hanging . The finished print is frameless and floats off the wall for a clean contemporary look. Rights of this image remain at the artist.

I studied fine arts at the University of Oklahoma, 1980-1984, I found myself creating with oil paints, gathering leaves from fall foliage and spray painting them sporadically, designing minimalist furniture and carving and building with my own hands. There was no limit to my medium, tools, or inspiration. Years later, I continued to push my limits after acquiring a ceramic art studio. I learned the challenges of painting watercolor-like strokes with ceramic paint, while maintaining the piece’s integrity through the glazing and firing process. Several years of crafting ceramics with different textures and gentle, ethereal strokes, my attention turned to modernizing my art and translating my now unique style and sense into plexiglass wall art pieces that truly define a room. I enjoy turning my index finger into a paintbrush that I use to swipe across a touch screen to create vibrant paintings. This process has finally helped me settle into the exact creative I always wanted to be.
