About The Artwork

1910 Russian Empire 100 ruble bill featuring a portrait of Catherine the Great Pop Art Warhol style. Original: giclee on canvas hand signed, numbered and dated - 36" x 36" with 2" extra border - rolled / shipped in tube. Prints - photo paper, fine art paper or canvas signed and dated. Yellow and orange and red and camaieux and lime green and lavender tones. The Russian ruble is the currency of the Russian Federation, the two partially recognized republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia and the two unrecognized republics of Donetsk and Luhansk. The ruble is subdivided into 100 kopeks - sometimes written as kopecks or copecks. The ruble was the currency of the Russian Empire and of the Soviet Union (as the Soviet ruble). Today, apart from Russia, Belarus and Transnistria use currencies with the same name. The ruble was the world's first decimal currency: it was decimalised in 1704 when the ruble became legally equal to 100 kopeks. In 1992 the Soviet ruble (code: SUR) was replaced with the Russian ruble. Larger sizes and custom work available upon request.
