Seascape - Limited Edition 1 of 12 Artwork

I wanted to extend my work as an abstract landscape artist, further and space was the obvious option. Spacescapes are extraordinary, vast and calming. Stripping away the excess layers of reality to reveal the underlying colour and structure allows the brain to ‘feel’ not ‘work at’ viewing an image moving directly to the middle ground, a sense of being drawn into the artwork. Once there, while the eye and brain are captivated an inner sense of contentment can surface. I love how the nuance of colour immediately changes mood and how stripping back to basics can be a mechanism to trigger a meditative moment away from our busy lives.
