Stardrops (Pop Art, Red) Artwork - Limited Edition of 15

'Stardrops' Pop Art Series: XL Gallery Edition of 15 Continuing my experimentation with new media and digital painting. The artwork is painted with a digital brush which can achieve effects impossible by traditional means. This particular artwork uses a brush 'loaded' with paint spots where the parameters (chosen by the artist) are altered to create different splatter effects. All the spots are perfectly symmetrical but are painted in such a way as to give the impression of depth or perspective. As with many of the artworks in this series, I enjoy pushing the boundaries between figurative and abstract art. I have a used a slightly different technique with this artwork with a looser, yet simpler end result. The result is essentially a fine detailed, pop art composition at various stages of abstraction - this technique works well with this medium.
