Art Description

New Media: Black & White, Environmental, New Media on Other, Canvas.

There's a very specific term in photography called “pictorialism” or photo realism.
It was a movement in the 19th and 20th century, where the photographers started creating rather than recording the images. It captured the beauty of the object rather than just the object.
In simple words, the photographs looked like paintings.

Being fascinated with the two words, photographs and painting led me to the series , which I named “The White Frame”

Beauty being the main focus of the images, I initiated this series with the most immediate object that comes to anyone's mind. Flowers.

The following series has Xray images of floral plants that have been uprooted.
The final results makes the flowers look transparent making these images look like outlines of the flowers, thus the word frame.

I decided to get these printed over a cloth, because I felt that justified the whole look and feel of the image better. The grains and details are more appealing to be seen with no interference of glass between the work and the art.
