A former psychiatrist, Ph.D., I have always been involved in art and photography, this are a significant personal value for me. I'm practicing of photography as a boy, in my teens. Since my youth I found interesting with images manipulation and transformation. There were a two breakthroughs in my art life - one is personal computers with graphic processors in early 90, which impressed me so much that I quit my photography experiments, and a second one - is invent of digital photography, when I began the second attempt with photoplay with mixed media involves. I had have some exhibitions in US galleries, including 3 solo exhibition, and took participating as illustrator with some artbooks. In 2012-2016 I work with collaboration Mikhail Magaril, NYC-based artist, we have some exhibitions and issued several books, some of them acquired by Library of Congress and Metropolitan Museum of Arts. Now I find a great inspiration in manipulation with vintage photos, making them some piece of art and put them in contemporary and even unperceived and unconsciousness context. I believe that the photographic process is a material essence for self-expression, like canvas or marble; it’s just one of the easiest ways to arrange the visual chaos around me, articulate the hidden harmony within us and share my feelings with others. Just feelings, not thoughts.
