I want to represent bold female figures. She's sitting relaxed amongst flowers gazing to her left. Her mouth is slightly parted because she's thinking or perhaps talking to herself or the viewer. She's living in a patriarchal world that is oftentimes violent, confusing and focused on the material. But she's confident with her strong pose displaying her hand on her hip. She has a very big, strong left hand and wide shoulders like a linebacker. Written on her left thigh is: pure, true, beauty, which is referencing Philippians 4:8, “...whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report...think on these things.” She's aware that the only thing you have control over is your thoughts. She seeks peace, happiness, joy and inner self love. She is unafraid beauty. Texture in my work is critical. This piece embodies a number of textural elements through line and colour. The final image is vibrant with 3D depth and dimensionality. This piece is a painting which I have digitally captured and professionally face mounted on 1/8" anti reflection & abrasion resistant ultra premium UF4 95% UV acrylic plexiglass. The final piece has a 6mm comatex protective backing and HD ROMA floating frame. It is ready to hang.

As an artist, I see myself as an interpreter of my society and how I exist in it. I like to study and research spirituality and metaphysics. I find these subjects fascinating. Through my artwork I hope to connect to the viewer on both a visual and cerebral level. I aspire to achieve a visual vibrancy in my work by creating a special blend of diverse methods, luscious colours, textures and materials. I merge mediums by digitizing my drawings and paintings to form large vibrant images which appear back lit and holographic.
