New Media: Digital on Aluminium, Paper.
"Weeping ducks" is a digital painting by Lord Wilmore based on a picture by his friend photographer Jzan who gave his kind courtesy to use it.
This piece is part of the "Bow Tie Ducks" serie created by Lord Wilmore in 2015. The ducks are here in their habitual form : white face, white plastron, red jacket and red bow tie.
The piece shows half of a woman's face who is weeping obviously. The ducks are the teardrops AND they are weeping as well. The woman and the ducks are weeping on the world's terrible state and on their own impossibility to do something about it.
This print is the number 1 out of a limited edition counting 30.
This 70 x 115 cm print on Chromaluxe aluminium sheet is garanteed for 200 years. (hanging aluminium bars are framed at the back). That medium is the only one to restitute the ultrachromatic and highly color saturated work of Lord Wilmore.
NB. As always in Lord Wilmore's digital artwork, pixellization appears in certain parts of the piece.
