New Media: Digital on Paper.
It strikes me to say something about why I think my work can be categorized as fine art. The outstanding feature is its purity of form. The conception of every work is one of whole realized within the medium I choose to work in. I eschew and abhor stereotypes and avoid sentimentality like the plague. I do not follow trends but let the inspiration I have find its own from.
I have a good eye and a fine sense of composition so that when the work is complete one leaves off and does not attempt to improve it. Any fiddling past that point will ruin the work.
Abstract paining has existed as separate genre for some considerable time now. But digital art, at least of the kind that I do, does not mimic, the painterly forms what have been created and are still being created by abstract artists.
I don't think it is the point of the work, but much that I do would be impossible to create in the painted form. Each medium, digital as well as any other, should exist in its own terms and not hew to any other.
