ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is the 36th work of a series called "九点" in Japanese (pronounced "q-ten", meaning "nine dots/points"). I am viewing this series collectively as a big one artwork that I hope is shared by and connects people from all walks of life all over the world. I'm still experimenting how acrylic paint works. While acrylic pouring can be excessively wasteful, I'm trying to minimise waste. Also, I only mix water in acrylic paint. I tried to mimic oil painting based on Van Gogh's Starry Night and I learned that it's not as easy as it looks. * I took and tweaked the photo myself. This photo received a tilted reflection and the top part turned out to be darker.
