I made this painting spontaneously without much planning. I was in the mood for a colourful work. The black component was only added at the very end. The painting can be framed, because the sides are not painted. But I never frame my works...it is signed on the backside.

Some time ago I saw a report about Gerhard Richter. In it it was shown how he creates his abstract works using a squeegee technique. I was fascinated by it and wanted to try it myself, but I always found reasons not to do it. Then came Corona and I had time. I bought canvases, paints, brushes - and had my father-in-law make me a squeegee. I even set up a small studio in our basement. I have never studied art, nor am I an artist in the strict sense. I am simply fascinated by the interplay of colours, the process of creating a painting and the hope that it will be good in the end ! As Gerhard Richter said, "it's so much fun" !
