Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Airbrush on Canvas.

One day my wife asked me:
- Which of your paintings would you like to hang in our room?
- That one which I haven’t painted yet, - I answered.
- But what would it be like?
- It would be an abstract painting, - I replied without hesitation.
She said after a pause:
- So paint it for me. I’m not going to live in bare walls all my life!
Well, there was no way out, if my wife asked me for it.
Perhaps it was a half-joking talk. But to tell the truth I really find abstract paintings most suitable for modern interior design. And I actually decided to create a set of my own abstractions.
However I took a keen interest in abstraction. After all it doesn't matter what specific image you paint. Any image is too specific to give free rein to your imagination. It may be comparable to that as if instead of a specific phrase from the classics you jot down some words or letters in a random way enabling your own brain or intuition to interpret them in accordance with your imagination.
Combination of colors, shades, forms, spots, disposition, proportion all of this always makes an abstract painting inimitable and unique.
The certain clarity of lines and colors was inherent in my works. And it was good, but…
…There are no lines any more, - I decided.
Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you my new set of works under the title «There are no lines any more» consisting of 12 canvas. I rely on your good offices.
P.S. Dedicated to my wife, Elena.
