#134. May mountain landscape. Painting

Sadriddin S. Mukhiddinov was born on February 23, 1952, grew up and formed as a personality in Kazakhstan. Then he lived with his family and worked in the city of Tashkent of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since 2014 lives in Brooklyn, New York, USA. An early passion for painting since childhood was reinforced by a wonderful gift from my mother one day for my birthday. It was a beautiful set of watercolors with a brush! The paints were in a transparent plastic case that looked like a palette. In those early 60s, this was a rarity in our country. I can't express how happy I was! I received the first public praise for my ability to draw well in elementary school from a teacher, when during his lesson I was distracted from the subject and arbitrarily took up drawing. The kind attitude and support of this teacher to my hobby was remembered by me for the rest of my life. Since then, I have become actively involved in the creation of school wall newspapers and in the design of holidays. My artistic ability also brought me success during my military service. In my younger years, I was in charge of the periodic issue of a wall newspaper at a large machine-building plant. At that time, I had to work closely with a group of professional artists of the plant, from whom I acquired certain knowledge and skills in painting. As a result, in 1977, at the regional exhibition among all artists, I took second place for the installation I created on the theme “For Peace on Earth”. I didn’t have to get a special art education then, since in 1981 I graduated from the Polytechnic Institute in Tashkent. And then in 1987 he successfully graduated from the Economic University in Almaty. As I moved further up the career ladder, working in various senior positions in local, then state structures and further in banking, I temporarily did not have the opportunity to draw for myself. Retirement in 2012 and subsequent move to New York in the US gave me the freedom to do whatever I wanted. Since 2019, I have resumed my artistic activity as a main occupation. At first I painted with acrylics on canvas, then I switched to oil and watercolor painting with professional paints. I paint from small to very large paintings. I get most of my art information from visiting museums and galleries in New York, Washington DC, and elsewhere, and from the Internet. I am inspired by the life and work of great artists of the past and present.
