Dear Friends & Collectors, Nice to meet you here, I am Karl W. Lu, a global artist of real life as a genuine thinker, creator, and entrepreneur who fathered the Dripping-Fluid style a decade ago through his work: Talking about Freud's Dream [ a painting of his Memory Series: 1980s Chinese Elite Students' Salon Talks, painted during 2002-2003, and exhibited & published in 2003 and 2004, at the COFA Space, College of Fine Arts, The University of New South Wales, Australia, which had been seen and learnt by both local and international artists, students and staffs at the time]. Since then, over the past decade, the Dripping-Fluid style has rapidly spread around the world and become a hot pop today. I'm very pleased to see such a phenomenon, trend and reality ! I further painted my > in 2009, > and much more to come ! Here I upload my >, >, >, and >. So, let the artworks show and speak themselves, I wish and hope you may enjoy my artworks. Here, follows is a brief of my general view, goals and missions in life and contemporary art: I would prefer to define myself as a genuine thinker, creator and entrepreneur, and it's a life long journey to search and fulfill my real self ... I'm still half way on the road towards my real self ... thus, I'm always busy, step by step, to catch my own [dreamed] real self ... interestingly ... to see how far I can go ... and enjoy the colourful, normal and unique journey of life ... I also love Einstein's view that `One's real value depends on, in which sense and in which degree, to be liberalized from one's self.', which I learnt during my mid-high school years. I was conceived at China Academy of Art in 1962, when my mother was a young teacher there. I was fond of art and learnt drawing & paintings through my childhood and school years, although I studied civil engineering and building design and became an engineer and building designer during the whole 1980s till I went abroad in 1991 to have my postgraduate studies in arts [philosophy], international studies, and some business & finance in Australia. A decade ago, in 2000, right at the beginning of the 21st century, I decided to return the artworld, including applied art & science of design and architecture, to lead and represent the most significant global real life movement of the elite Chinese students & graduates since 1977, after Mao, after Culture Revolution, and after the Cold War.
