#2. Katya. Light. Painting

I’ve started Russian Women Series it in December 2021 with a portrait #1 of Jenya. I had been thinking to paint her for a couple of months. I don’t know whether her open back attracted me or something else. I’ve spent 10 years in special treatment of my vertebrae, that is why open back is symbolic. All the collection have had a huge impact on me and helped to self grow in many questions as a person / woman and to become more brave in portraiture as an artist. Numbers 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 were immediately sold. Four are available. #10 is taking part in national competition from Russian State Art Union. #2 in my portrait series. Katya is living in Burgas, Bulgaria. She is nutriziologist. I was inspired by her style and the light, which i tried (successfully) to express. All artworks from this 10 pieces series are decorated with golden or silver leaf in the below part of canvas and accompanying by a certain music in my presentation in IG. Katya comes with The Theorist (Lovely).
