William Edward Carter II American, 1966- Contemporary American artist William Carter is most notably known for his unique take on Abstract Expressionism. Blending Color Field Painting with Action Painting, William emphasizes the lateral flow of bold colors merging across the field of view. Having no subject matter as a starting point he does not shy away from the Truth that might emerge from his process of painting as seen in (#55 Something’s Coming, 2023). Concepts like encountering the divine, fragmented memories, and moments in time and place are recurring narratives interwoven into his work.
