Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Pencil on Canvas.

Heather Blanton is an American artist best known for her acrylic and graphite works depicting the art of motion while celebrating competition and the human spirit. Predominantly self taught, Blanton's "sports themed" series was born by happenstance and is now the artist's chosen form of expression. Her subjects range from cyclists peddling towards the finish line to hundreds of marathon runners racing to glory. Blanton's lengthy background in black and white photography and Polaroid manipulation has served as the basis for her Abstract Expressionism-influenced paintings conflicted by a blend of energy and whimsy.
Heather's work can be found in public and private art collections around the globe from Amsterdam to Atlanta.
Her resume and list of corporate clients can be found on her website www.heatherblanton.com.

This is one in a three piece set designed to be hung together and a triathlon. The others are also listed here.
