About The Artwork

Motives & Games! You never know when an incident could happen? When something does happen questions abound as to whether it truly was an incident that occurred, or a deliberately devised planned event? Or was it just because it was a Friday? The most pertinent question generally probably should be was it intended to affect you, as the individual directly, in anyway shape, or form? Was there a situation, circumstance, individual, or group of individuals behind the situation that may have been intended to directly affect you? Or are you just being paranoid? Different things come up in self healing therapy all the time. I never really know sometimes what will stick, or what will continue to repeat until attention is paid to it be that a vision, subject matter, something that seem to connect the history of an experience, or a new meaning - sometimes over the duration of time something keeps coming back with a question, for an answer. But sometimes, something happens during the course of my work day, and initially I think nothing of it. Even though the atmosphere around a situation, in a location lends itself to something else possibly with a negative undercurrent. But, sometimes even when it does, I walk away, or in this case drive away, get on with the job in hand. Because I have no where to take it at that time. Therefore, the processing of an event may only resurface weeks, months, or years down the line. But, then the scene I walked into, or was invited into keeps on nagging at me, the scenes keeps on flashing into my regardless of where I am, or what I am doing even after I have finished that shift, and have gone home, back to what my private life is! This form of flashback work helps me lay the memory to rest! What else is there to do when it is can be difficult to genuinely clarify why something is happening to you, or if it is nothing to directly do with you, because it is what somebody else continually sets up around what you do? When you know you are still being stalked. Even if its effect is only of a mild reoccurring annoyance. Still harmful. Still intended to create what is psychologically distress. As a result you become forced to be a witness. Forced observe. By no doubt others who may not realised they are being forced into observing you. Part of that is you are then being forced again to learn the patterns of someone else who is quite possibly very, very, sick. Maybe through no fault of their own. Originally! One of the patterns I began to realise over a eleven year period this particular phase of stalking, possible investigations into the anonymous person to me at least who continues to be present somewhere in the background of my life.... is the number plate game. It sounds bizarre, and probably all together really stupid to even notice. But all of what I went through whilst surviving stalking campaigns has really forced me to pay attention to even the most slightest, and quirky resources used. Would you be believe it if I said that when communication has broken down between people, or a relationship is not possible, or no longer possible. It is not impossible for someone to try anything to try and communicate with you? In this depiction the attempt at communication is referenced by the green number plates (which are not common place in the UK) plates - which say; Gonna Getcha! On this day not so long ago I had no idea, honestly, if I was the target, object of observation, fascination, hatred, or something, or nothing else. It was just a situation that kept asking a question, as to why the location was the way it was? Questions that may not need answering. Or questions that have already been answered because that is the way that location always is!

Born in London. From kitchen table top, to connecting to the market place creating a hub of creativity. I have had the opportunity and privilege to live and experience many different area's in England and addresses in and around London, living in different social conditions, with a different set of challenges and joy's at each location. These experiences continue to be the biggest influence and inspiration for my work to date, inspiring imaginative impressions, which translate into expressions of fictional characters, and decorative designs. Whilst I did attend formal schooling, I did manage to achieve leaving secondary schooling without qualifications. Later gaining qualifications by investing in vocational training. I initially took up sketching to help me with clothes design, attending a local community college, it was a cheaper option as a young parent at the time. I come from a background of naturally creative people, where things like clothes were made without patterns, or any prior preparation for design. It was a time of instinctive survival, with a jump in and get it done way of living and thinking, learn on the go type of attitude toward life. Writing poetry plays the role of being my first point of creativity, it is a combination of free flow journal writing, "free flow" is a method of unblocking personal expression. Examples of this is the pen sketch and textile remnant journals, where poetry, meaningful sayings, and short messages meet. Expressing myself through writing journals, poetry, and even finding a way of writing threw creating an image, led me to explore painting as a further means of deeper self expression, exploration and release. What emerged is a spontaneous method of painting, composition admittedly is not a study in every piece initially, but emerges in the form of allowing a subject to develop in a space, in whatever form or position it takes. Coming from the era where Art was not seen as a proper job, taking that notion on - for a long time. I struggled to come terms with art as anything other than frivolity, despite being a creative. To understand my work further; The experience behind the creative process. Throughout my life as a child to present day I have been effected by the collection of behaviours known as Stalking. As a child and teen I witnessed others experiences.
