Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Paint, Found Objects, Metal, Plastic on Canvas, Ceramic, Paper, Plastic, Soft (Yarn, Cotton, Fabric).

501 Levi jeans were popular when I was growing up. A trip to New York reminded me of this. Most of the materials were either bought or found in the US however the blue tile on the top right corner was found in Dublin. The piece of jewellery at the bottom left was given to me by a friend who ran her own antique shop. Note the '501' fork shape is wired into the canvas for extra security.
The last detail image shows the piece in the very early gluing stages, just to give an idea of the process. Like a transformative makeover they are never the same once I'm finished with them!
