#56 Painting

During pandemic times I noticed that most of my works are becoming with edges, triangles, rhombuses, with sharp and straight corners. #56 is one of three works in this "sharp" series. I love it because it's multi-dimensional, it shows the connection of order with chaos, it's steady, and at the same time looks like flying. It can be converted in any direction on the wall giving new perspective. Overall, this work is about happiness, joy, light, transparency, freshness, vividness. I used extra fine oil paints (Winsor&Newton, Gamblin, Sennelier) glazing technique on canvas (pre primed, I added 1 layer of white gesso and 2 layers of acrylic yellow background). I love giving the watercolor effect to oil paints, with its transparency and light through.
