In 2010 I left a 30-year design career to pursue the artistic passions which had fired my imagination as a youngster. I have set myself no goal, destination or deadline other than to develop as a painter. Marine art and history have always been passions, one reinforcing the other in the development of my artistic practice. My work is largely created in acrylic, oil and watercolour I exhibit from time to time and was the winner of the "Classic Boat Prize" at the Royal Society of Marine Artists Exhibition at the Mall Galleries London 2020 and with the Royal Society of British Artists also at the Mall Galleries. I am Chairman of Thames Maritime Artists a small group of artists with a passion for capturing the mood and colour of the River Thames. I was formerly chairman of the National Maritime Museum Art Club and the Old Royal Naval College Art Club.
