About The Artwork
Inspired by the works of Nicolas Poussin (1594-1665) it invites the viewer to think about "what is time?" and how sentient beings experience time differently. From the fragile mayfly that lives for one day to the crusty old tortoise who can live to be 100. Meanwhile we mortals dance and play merrily throughout our brief term until finally,in the blink of an eye, we are gone and forgotten.
