A Foggy Night in the Blue Ridge Moutains Painting

I am frequently stunned by the beauty of the land in my adopted home. The Blue Ridge Mountains in southwest Virginia are simply gorgeous and provide an endless set of experiences to be inspired by. Often the weather dwarfs the mountains and when the monumental mountains collide with the even more massive clouds I am often speechless. The experience of moving through the mountains is one of never feeling on a solid foot. Passing by valley and then by mountain tops within a few miles by car is discombobulating. It is that sense of awe and intoxication of the very land is what I was hoping to share with the viewer. Of course the spectacle hovers in my eye like nature hovers before it.
