A Good Day for a Swim Painting

Ever since my first art class in high school I have been inspired by wildlife art. Many of the art assignments were wildlife paintings, and local artists visited to share their work. I was particularly taken by Gary Burghoff's (RADAR from MASH) wildlife paintings, who lived in Magalia. Even in high school I won awards for my landscapes and wildlife portraits. I am so thankful to David Tamori, my art teacher for introducing me to this favorite painting genre of mine. I must also thank Bob Ross and his TV show for kindling an early interest in art even before high school. I hope you enjoy this painting of a Wood Duck.
