A Grey Day Painting

Linda Cafritz is an accomplished representational  artist who has found her passion in painting abstractly. Her medium is acrylic and some of her works incorporate collage. The strong touches of interactive action appear side by side through her canvases and she searches for colors as a visual texture. Cafritz’s compositions create a dream-like serenity. Blends of heavy elements almost disappear, establishing bridges of stripes in geometric fashion. Cafritz is moving the wheel in the direction of her emotions, in a search for a composition that holds one’s imagination. Cafritz's work has been written about in Washington Woman Magazine, Home and Design Magazine, Bethesda Magazine, Spaces Magazine, and featured in publications of The Washington Design Center and New York Design Center (NYDC). Her paintings are in private collections throughout the country and purchased for many commercial spaces in the D.C. metropolitan area and by Legg Mason in Europe.
