ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was born from, photos saved for years on my cell phone and ideas from my son Santiago, who also painted some parts of this artwork. I painted it while I was going through a parallel process of "letting go" in order to breathe and recognize myself again... Flowers remind us of the magic of life and the eternal cycle of birth and death that makes up our existence.

Born in Bogotá, Colombia (1983). Since childhood, she shows interest in the arts and as a teenager she starts to work on representational sculpture and painting. My paintings are created to convey the essence of nature. I rely on our desires for beauty and balance which is what I establish through the use of color, texture and harmony in each of my paintings. I begin my work by applying color layers fluently, letting each image emerge and then focus on details which bring it to live. I think of my work as a pause from our busy lives, engaging the viewer by creating an inner sense of order which can shift its emotional state.
