About The Artwork
A detailed ink painting of a fine white hart, much revered in myth and legend. They are beautiful and imposing creatures, strong and sure of their place in the wild. I painted this animal using ink, a medium I am both familiar with and still excited by; painted on a handmade cotton Khadi paper. The paper feels reminscent of animal hide in it's strength and softness.

I am an artist based in Gloucestershire, UK but originally from Perthshire, Scotland. I have been fortunate to exhibit in some prestigious institutions including Royal Academy, London, RWA, Bristol and RSA, Edinburgh. I trained in Fine Art Drawing and MFA Painting and have literally been drawing my whole life. My proudest achievement is having my ink drawing 'Ghoul School' in the permanent collection of Prints and Drawings at The British Museum. I was also delighted to receive 'Finest Drawing' award at the National Open Art Competition in 2013.
