In my recent series, I dedicate myself to depicting characters in LGBTQ community. I shift my focus to the face as the main part of my narrative representing something hidden, revealed, and performed. I display an innovative meaning of woman. I describe a broad spectrum of sexual and gender identities and politics through these paintings. From beauty to ugliness, from gentleness to harshness, and from feminine to masculine, I bring together a body of work that establishes new definitions that draw upon textures and gestures that are manifest across natural and sociopolitical boundaries I believe, “There is always a spectrum between the two poles; Poles that are at times contradictory and others complementary, and at the same time, they are turbulent and sometimes unexplored. A spectrum that the subconscious is more aware of it than the conscious is. The question is, is there any such thing as self-consciousness?”
