"A Lot Like Love, but More Like Fields" (or just “Fields" for short), is a series that explores form, color, space, and line dynamics in the simplest of terms. Made with a focus on curated materials as a foundational part of the work, and a goal of evoking both character and intelligence, as well as creating a new space for the viewer's imagination to abound.

Drawing inspiration from platonic forms, esoteric systems, fractals, color, and life itself; Chad Goei aims to uncover critical insights with his abstract examinations, and has high hopes that they will inspire new ways of understanding the phenomenon of existence. Goei was born in Michigan during the legendary winter storm of 1978 to an immigrant father and mother with southern American roots, both whom stood out and apart from their families as unique. Being self-taught, the process of discovery is foundational in Goei's work, who sees his multi-disciplinary efforts merely as experiments in research & communication.
