About The Artwork

Different circumstances bring in dissimilar nuances. Force majeure notes drive us sometimes in the corner, but this is the wonderful litmus that may color our self-perception. "To know others is wisdom, but to know yourself is a devotion." The tongue makes articulation possible and in this we differ substantially from animals. We do not stick it out deliberately when we are thirsty or asleep. The tongue has its personal space and no wonder its habitat is a semi-dark cave. Who can get it out of there?! For instance, the doctor can command -“Put your tongue out properly!” and prescribe the right medication. But when we undergo a self-prescribed “treatment” with the necessary dose of humor, the tongue can break through the comfort of euphemism by poking out and thus create the necessary distance from things… though it may not seem exactly in this way from a formal point of view. The tongue stuck out as a non-verbal euphemism. The tongue as a new limb, as a reserve player. A city walk ... my jacket sticks its tongue out. The PC freezes Windows, steals minutes split in two and pokes its tongue at me. My heart is emancipated and sticks its tongue out at you... it is like jumping from the last floor of one’s heart, but upwards. Technic: acrylic and pastel on paper. ● “Sediment in process” is a knowhow of the artist - a language for visual description of form and its content.
