Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.
Social engineering is not a new concept, as most cultures around the world draw and preserve valuable lessons from ancestral beliefs and practices. This piece is maily inspired by variety of methods through which this invaluable knowledge is preserved and transmitted for example ,story telling, arts and craft etc.
I used a toddler as subject matter because the younger generation are our links to the future, like vessels in the time journey.
They convey our ways and essential practices, morals and identity.
The mask and the boy with the herd is a symbol of preservation of identity and knowledge of the important aspects of our selves for a future generation.
I created this painting in the hope that the viewer does wonder at the subject matter and some how connect those dots or even inspire in them a similar narrative.
