ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A large adstract and expressive painting inspired by a recent visit to the South Downs and the wonderful seascapes and landscapes of the area. The teals, turquoise, ultramarine, sea greens and warm yellows create a calming and peaceful image although there is dramatic texture and energy within the highly detailed layers of this painting. Sealed with two layers of acrylic varnish to seal and protect. Signed on the front.

After the Millennium it became increasingly necessary to complete work in a digital format. Although I could work in this way for me personally the passion, reward and creativity were compromised. I then went into teaching for a number of years but never stopped painting. For me painting allows the freedom to create, invent and explore without restriction, it is the perfect way forward for me and I love it.
