Painting: Watercolor on Paper. For AFLUENCIAS project. “El vocabulario del agua” "Influences" takes place through the vocabulary of that vital element such as water, which is translated and materialized in the exposed works made with the most aqueous artistic material of all, watercolor. There is something in the nature of water that powerfully captures the dynamics of our current era. As matter, water is a transparent liquid, so ubiquitous and fundamental that they often take it for it. A simple compound of hydrogen and oxygen, is the essence of our survival and required by all known life. It is omnipresent and essential, always the same but always different. Water is a projection of light on a wall, like the videos on display, showing a light, calm and turbulent water, a mirror and a threat, a wavy surface and a three-dimensional void. What is observed in an unlimited field, where the horizon and sound are not essential.
