About The Artwork

This work is an interpretation of the book, Black Skin, White Masks by Frantz Fanon, this image portrays the farce that is race economics and the concept that blacks want to ascend to their perception of the ease of being white. The colors, shapes and line directions play a part in the saga that is this dense, expansive painting. Reds are short bursts of passion stopped by bold black expectations of entitlement. While the top and bottoms are a part of a single panel, they are cut from different cloths and separated only by the idea that one is inverse of the other. Glass ceilings, shallow philosophies and temporal goals.
