This painting is part of the TERRA series collection , that is a representation of woman from different cultures. The name of this painting is ADRIANNE , she represents Asia, its a 6 ft x 4.5 ft on a canvas cloth, its not framed so It can be shipped easier and safer. Its made out of acrylics, paints, markers, spray paint. the style of it is abstract - modern street art My paintings speaks a lot through their eyes, in this case this woman is a representation of power and strength, she can go through suffering and pain in life, thats why is surrounded and protected by a dragons tail. she is a warrior on her on life history the background has this abstract style that speaks about their culture and clothing. the blue side of the painting is water, the sense of calm that a woman can only produce. This painting is special because it gives me a sense of encouragement . to always get back up even when the world tells you to stay down. One of the six paintings was purchased in Peru, the name of the painting is Ximena, (indian woman). Josué Guardia's individual perceptioned style merges divergent visual impressions of abstraction, modernism, neo-expressionism symbolic meanings.... His technique is a reaction of expressions with high perception and colorful composition. Traveling through South America from 2016 to late 2017, he had 2 solo exhibitions while he was in Lima Peru. and now being back in the states, he has been working in an art project of a large scale related to nowadays society issues . In the meanwhile, he is showing his work in other parts of USA. His past works varies from designing for international big wave surfer Mark Visser in Australia to non - profit mural events in downtown Stroudsburg. He has participated in art group exhibitions and solo exhibitions in the States and internationally , live body painting events, artworks for american and overseas models, clothing designer and published a couple of art books. Josué Fernando Guardia was born in Lima, Peru. He grew up by the ocean with a city lifestyle, which helped discover a mixed interest for surfing and art. His mother was an executive Media Producer and his dad was a Tailor - an artistic atmosphere was always present during his childhood without it being noticed. At a young age, he interacted with people from different backgrounds and social statues, making him build his own personal view & concept of life. He won a National High School Art competition with just a pencil At the age of 17, he left Peru, moved to New York and studied at La Guardia C.C. He has traveled to many countries and learned about people, cultures, and how different life’s realities are out in the world. That's when he discovered his passion for art as a way of expression.
