Showed at the The Other Art Fair
Artist featured in a collection
This painting was done as part of a series at the Baltic Sea in the famous artist village of Ahrenshoop where I spent a lot of time at the sea watching the light changing in the evenings at sunset. The sheer beauty of those light shows made me always happy and relaxed and calm and here is an abstraction of what I saw. Abstract colorful contemporary watercolor on professional watercolor paper. Small parts of the paper are unpainted. 41x31 cm unframed, with 50x60 cm signed and titled removable mat, ready to be put in 50x60 cm standard frame. Signed on the back. Certificate of Authenticity. W&N Watercolor, ink, silver pigments and mixed media on professional watercolor paper. Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
