Alchemy 13 is the realization of a strong desire to paint an ancient landscape in a style derived from that of Turner but bringing an abstract touch to the subject. The choice of the small format quickly imposed itself in relation to the technical constraints related to acrylic. I wanted to paint both and at the same time with two opposite techniques, that of melting and that of glazing. The first consists of mixing the colors on the canvas and the second has them superimposed by transparency. Because the acrylic dries much too fast to keep it moist all over the surface, it had to be small enough to have time to mix the colors in each place of the canvas. I was thus able to maintain a global vision of the composition allowing me to free myself from any retouching. https://youtu.be/SOc71fRek9E

Luc Andrieux considers painting as an opening on the spiritual world that inhabits the universe. For him, it speaks directly to the mind of the one who looks at it without going through understanding, it is a matter of intuition and escapes reasoning. In his achievements, he always tries to bring out a kind of deep truth that shakes the mind. The colors, the light, the matter are assembled in compositions more or less abstract to arouse the escape and the freedom, both correlated to the desire of a dream world, fantasized. Through his various researches, he paints the border that binds man to nature and separates it at the same time, the past and future presence, the imprint, the passage, the presence and the absence of time. Its purpose is to generate an interrogative contemplation, certain that painting makes better the one who looks at it thanks to the emotion it transmits to it. https://www.youtube.com/
