Amelie Painting

I am honoured to welcome you as my guest! My name is Kate, and I am a self-taught and independent artist. I started my engrossing journey as an artist in 2019, and since then my love for oil painting has been growing every day. In a year I sent my work to the international contest of contemporary art in Saint-Petersburg for the first time and took a prize-winning place. As a prize I was accepted to the Eurasian Art Union. This ignited a flame in me, and I was delighted that my work was highly assessed by the accomplished experts. In my style I use a mixed technique: faces in portraits and flowers are depicted as more realistic as if before their immersion into the abstract world suffusing the painting. While creating some works I also make a video performance. I want to show elusiveness and evanescence and search for passion, eternity and diversified feelings in paints, and I am sure that this aspiration will be ever-lasting. I create a non-existent reality with my brush and narrate imaginary stories with the paints. I crave for noticing beauty in the ordinary and distinguishing something new in long-forgotten things. But my primary focus is on finding my personal identity.
