(Shipping delayed due to COVID19. Please send all inquiries to curator@saatchiart.com) Anything for Love. I felt that so I put the words in the painting. When you focus on the words, they dominate the meaning of the painting. However, when you backup and look at the full picture, the words become lost in the chaotic details, bright colors and various shapes. For those of us who are giving souls, kindhearted and empathetic in nature, there is a tendency to end up in situations where our love and care is taken for granted. After one gives away so much of themselves only to experience a lack of reciprocity and heartbreak, they must learn that to do anything for love is not healthy nor is it sustainable. Pulling back from the words on the canvas is symbolic of pulling away from the masochistic behavior of doing whatever it takes to be with someone whose love will never match your nurturing spirit and emotional intensity. In doing so, one can make the shift away from the strong desire to be with another and notice the beautiful life that was created just for them. The painting wraps around a 1.5 inch border creating a 3D effect when gazed at from either side. This allows the piece to be displayed with or without a frame. The colors are uniquely mixed, vibrant and playful. It’s easy to get lost in. As you look into the painting, you will notice different shapes taking form. Images will faintly emerge then disappear just as quickly as they came.
