Painting: Acrylic, Oil on Canvas.
My artwork is a study of the subconscious mind. They are inspired from the work of the psychologist, Carl Gustav Jung, who used the concept of archetype in his theory of the human psyche. He believed that universal, mythic characters—archetypes—reside within the collective unconscious of people the world over.
I too, try to engage the viewer to get involved and seek to find their own interpretation and meaning of my work. Let the viewer’s interact with their mind and find their own meanings and personality traits.
I choose this subject matter during my college years when I first got familiarized with the work of Carl Gustav Jung. Also, I got influenced by the work of Jackson Pollock drip period hence I incorporate some elements into my art compositions.
